BJI Orthopaedics has been providing care in the Henderson/Las Vegas area for the last 8 years. Its founder, Dr. Mike Crovetti has been a leader in the field of Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery. He has been educating surgeons in the United States and Internationally over the past 7 years. Most recently, in the United States, he has pioneered a new procedure called Hip resurfacing, a new Hip Replacement surgery that allows patients to return to near full activity! His specialties include Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement procedures of the Hip, Knee and Shoulder.
Over the last 5 years, his partner, Dr. Jason Tarno, a Las Vegas native, has provided Sports Medicine care to various high schools and sporting events in the Las Vegas area. As team physician for the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), he has provided sports care to elite athletes of many sports including football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccoer, etc. Dr. Tarno is acting Clinical Director for the University of Nevada School of Medicine Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. This fellowship acts to develop team physicians at the Division I University level as well as Professional level.
