Arthroscopy

Your doctor performs arthroscopic surgery to look inside the knee and shoulder with a small camera. This is an outpatient procedure that involves very small incisions just big enough to get the camera into the joint. The camera is actually the size of a pen or pencil. Using small tools, your doctor is able to treat problems ranging from cartilage tears to ligament reconstruction.
